This book is about all of the places a farmers sheep have run of to. Some of the sheep have gone to the zoo, some have gone to the circus, some have gone to the movies.... The numbers of sheep that have gone off is told in numerical order going down so this is a book that could represent a good

counting book. The illustrations really stand out in this book because they are a bit different than other illustrations that I have seen-the pictures are detailed and colorful but are represented in almost a pixelated/computer graphic like format. This is a very cute story!

This book was hilarious to me. I would rate it on the level of the Doreen Cronin books, which are some of my favorite!

It inspired me to create an entire story time around silly farm animals!

Must read if you appreciate the humorous behavior of errant sheep!

Counting book with illustrations that seem a bit derivative of Betsy Lewin's work with Doreen Cronin.

Farmer McFitt's seven sheep go on the lam in this amusing picture-book romp, told in rhyming text. From a visit to the zoo to a stint in the circus, these ovine rebels know how to get around. But so too does the farmer, who catches up with them one by one, until they are all shorn. Now it is time

Hide and Sheep is a fun little book, one that, with its rhyming text, makes for an excellent read-aloud. Author Andrea Beaty, known for such best-sellers as Rosie Revere, Engineer and Ada Twist, Scientist, delivers an entertaining text here. The watercolor artwork contributed by illustrator Bill Mayer is cute, but not as appealing as the story. Still, leaving that aside, this is an engaging bedtime book, especially with its play on the idea of counting sheep.
