This book is about a shark that isn't afraid of anything except for spiders. He boasts around saying he isn't afraid of anything until his underwater friends mentions about spiders to which he loses his cool.

The pages of the book are colorful and the illustrations of the book help to reinforce the

text. I would recommend reading this book to children ages 5 and up due to some younger children would not get the humour. I found the pictures and the text of the story to be amusing and cute.

Bob Shea is the author and illustrator of I'm a Shark. His past book Dinosaur vs. Bedtime has won the Best of 2008 from Horn Magazine, is a Blue Ribbon book from The Bulletin of the Center for Children's book, and Amazon's Best of Year in the top 10 picture books in 2008.

This is a cute story about a shark who is not afraid of anything, except spiders. His crab friend asks him if he is scared of obvious things, for example, dinosaurs, but the shark always rep lie "does he have a spider with him?". This story is funny for children to read because sharks are known as

such scary creatures. This character is lovable and relatable which makes it a fun and interesting read for children. The author also incorporates real pictures in with the illustrations which makes the book more personable. I feel this book is a positive read for children of many ages.

This book is relatable for readers because so many people are scared of spiders. A shark is known as a fierce creature so when you find that even he is scared of spiders it gives readers a common connection. The pictures the author's family he incorporates into the story also makes the story more relatable because readers see he is like every other person as well.

I like the pictures. they are scribblely and fun. This author reminds me of Mo Williams. this shark is not afraid of anything ... accept spiders. It's a cute book. It shows being afraid of something is okay.

This is about a shark and how he isn't afraid of anything except for spiders. This would be a good story to read to teach students that it's okay to be scared of something.

I really, really love this shark. An excellent read-aloud story about being scared told by an irrepressible shark. The shark is nine kinds of awesome, PLUS there's a giant squid. How can you go wrong?

A fun book about one's fears and how they don't always make sense.
