A funny story about what could happen if you give a mouse a brownie, and all the adventures it leads to. There is a boy who asks "what if you give a mouse a brownie?" and imagines the crazy things and places in town it would take him if he did. This book would be good for a younger audience.

This is a book about a boy and he offered a brownie to a mouse. Throughout the story, there is a sequence of events that if you give the mouse something like spoons, for example, he will start to drum and want to start a band. This is a wonderful story that displays a plot line that will lead the

reader to what could be next. The style that the author uses by bringing the story back to the beginning really shows the completeness of the story itself.

I took it out despite the children's librarian on duty said it wasn't ' her thing '. It was sweet as young children's literature, but I think in some ways it would resonate with a lot of adults too. Who doesn't know at least one person who ' you give an inch and he takes a yard ' ? Or beginning a

house project only to find something needs doing before you can begin the project and once you do it, something else needs doing and on and on.
