The cover tells all. It's a wonderful pictorial about how San Franciscans brought back Victorian houses after a half-century of disguise and denial.

paint schemes highlighted the different details. Was no less awed now then I was back then. Just out of interest I googled several of the houses featured, all are still there but most the paint schemes are much more subdued and tress that are mere twigs in the book now are 30 feet tall. Great book if you like Victorian architecture. Show Less
