Description

Ronda Rousey, the Olympic medalist in judo, reigning UFC women's bantamweight champion, and new Hollywood action hero, charts her difficult path to glory. Rousey's account of the toughest fights of her life -- in and outside the Octagon -- reveals the painful loss of her father when she was eight years old, the intensity of her judo training, her battles with love, her meteoric rise to fame, the secret behind her undefeated UFC record, and what it takes to become the toughest woman on Earth. Rousey shares hard-won lessons on how to be the best at what you do, including how to find fulfillment in the sacrifices, how to turn limitations into opportunities, and how to be the best on your worst day.

I wouldn't call this book the highest literature, exactly, but it is a very interesting look at one of the most powerful fighters in the UFC today [man or woman]. Comparing this book to George St. Pierre's recent book is a study in contrasts - GSP is all about crafting the brand. Rousey is all

about giving you a peek under the tent, warts and all. From stories about her smelly car to childhood fights to her family life this book was a fascinating - if quick - read.

This is an awesome book for anyone who is a fan of Ronda Rousey. Her incredible journey to the top was met with heartbreak, hard training and struggle. After reading this book, you will see how she became the champion that she is. A lot of F-Bombs but that's the world of the MMA and UFC.

I don't know what drew me in to this book initially, but I think this might be the book that sticks with me in 2016. First, it's a book that told me a lot of what I need to hear right now. Second, it taught me too care about things I don't understand. I feel life this book opened me up to exploring

new ideas and listening to the ideas others put forth with greater respect. Finally, and ultimately, it reinforces what I feel about proving people wrong being the best form of revenge.
