A fun addition to the Wide-Awake Princess series. There's not quite as much action as there is in some of the earlier books, but fans of this series will not be disappointed. All the main characters are back and have been sent on another journey to solve the magical problems that start

off the story. A light-hearted and amusing fairy tale adaptation. Great for middle grades.

More mildly interesting fluff. Annie and Liam are _finally_ getting married...and the villain of the piece announces both what and why in the first chapter. But Annie isn't listening, unfortunately, so she and Liam get to go off in a dozen different directions as usual. Problems everywhere, but

reasonably easily solved (as usual), and the final solution includes tying up a loose thread that's been hanging around since the last book. Not bad, not deep, and a happy ending. I do want to read the next book, but not for a while; my tolerance for this style of story is running thin. I was also strongly reminded of the Frog Princess at several points (not surprisingly, it is the same author - but the feel was a little different before). Not bad, but I doubt I'll reread.
