India Knight grows older, her focus changes and so does that of her protagonist (who is becoming increasingly annoying, nasty and snobbish). Having enjoyed her previous novels, I was disappointed to discover fewer jokes in this volume, and more discussion, debate and general discourse about the

problems of growing middle-aged: to botox or not to botox? Well, if you really want to know, read it and find out.

Hardly a spoiler to give away the moral of the story: aging is unavoidable. Ho hum.

Fair enough if you're in bed with the 'flu and can't face anything else; otherwise, no.
