The first season didn't really sell me, finding me frequently considering dropping it, but by the second, I was really won over by the über-heightened and gritty style of the show. Every single character (or very nearly) is more incredible, more brutal, more anything-you-want than any real life

human being would be, but once you embrace that rather than roll your eyes at it, the series becomes a thrilling ride of badassery and show downs, with frequently surprising levels of emotion to ground my investment in the story and characters (if admittedly not any sense of realism). Show Less
