Local notes

This volume collects "Hulk" #19 through 21 and "Fall of the Hulks Gamma", starting with Red Hulk's killing of Thunderbolt Ross and ending with the cliffhanger of the Intelligencia tapping Red Hulk's powers to turn all in proximity, including Deadpool, the Avengers and the X-Men, into Hulks.
Contemporaneous to this volume are issues #606 through 608 of "The Incredible Hulk", and the various "Fall of the Hulks" one-shots. It also takes place following Invincible Iron Man #10-24 where Tony Stark wipes out his mind to foil Osborn's HAMMER. Beast's bad blood with the X-Men stems from Uncanny X-Men #519 where he disapproved of Cyclops' tactics. The Liddleville invention used in this story was created by Dr. Doom in Fantrastic Four #236.

The back of the collection also contains the comedy one-page Hulk comics by Audrey Loeb and Dario Brizuela.

Library's review

A solid enemy-of-my-enemy team-up between Bruce Banner and Red Hulk as the Intelligencia kidnaps the smartest people of the Marvel Universe one by one. Despite a gimmick-y twist at the very end, this volume made me really want to read the entire event.
