Yes, this is a small book but the real thing is a bit smaller. When the Met was producing a facsimile and had disbound it, they had an exhibition of the leaves. I took this little book to the show and was amazed that the real leaves were smaller (no surprise that the color was more subtle but the

A very small (3 5/8 x 2 3/8 in.) Book of Hours, illuminated primarily in grisaille, or black-and-white. The illuminator was one Jean Pucelle, and the book was a gift to Jeanne from her husband, Charles IV of France. There are some rather droll marginalia.
