These are long hikes through Vienna. Many of the places he visits are interesting, Whether or not the distances involved are reasonable is another matter. Still the texts are well written, and there is a lot of Vienna trivia to learn.

small side. The maps are good enough to show where the walk takes him, but would not be enough to actually follow his footsteps. Many of the photographs do not work in black and white. An index would be very helpful when trying to find the descriptions again. All in all, the attempt to keep this to a size that could be carried on a walk backfires. It is still too thick and heavy for that to work, but misses out on being a really good book about Vienna.
