I guess my one complaint about this book is that I can't make many of his recipes - a lot of things are more available in California than in Vienna. I do like his comments on the Cara Cara oranges that appear in some of my grocery stores for a few short weeks after Christmas.

wonderful voyage through many aspects of preserving and I can only recommend it if you want to make jams, pickles, jellies, chutneys, marmalades, ... There is also plenty of reading material scattered among the recipes.
