This book is excellent because it is short and has a lot of pictures for young readers. All of the sentences in the book contain alliteration, which is an excellent concept to teach from this book, even to older children. This book is a great book to read with or to young children learning to read.

Craziness ensues when a bear, bull, and babboon ride backwards with alliteration.

This book is about how they use words that start with the letter b and repeat themselves. At the end of the book all the words they used that started with letter b made the bird's balloon pop.

This is such a great book to use to introduce the letter B to a kindergarten class. Its use of simple B words are great. It uses words like Big Brown Bear, blue bull, blowing bubbles, etc. The illustrations in this book help with the B words. It is not overly illustrated, its simple nad to the

This book shows examples of the letter B by showing words and pictures that begin with the letter B.

I like the way this book introduces the letter B by adding on to the previous words used. It shows a fun way to learn about the letter B. It also is a fun way to discuss what alliteration

means.

After reading this book, you could discuss other words that also begin with the letter B.

Great book to introduce the letter B

Bright and colorful illustrations that catch your eye from the first pages with a blue bull and giant berenstain bear. The Berenstain bears are always fun books for kids because they do incorporate animals, and kids like being able to escape away into a dream world where animals can walk and talk

and play. Extremely bold lettering which is good for young readers, and the pictures go along with the words on the page so amazingly if a child was struggling with the word the picture would help them figure it out. Also, the alliteration is so fun even I found myself stumbling and laughing as I was reading it :)

Everything in this book starts with the letter B. The children's book is a tongue twister because you never know what B letter word they will come up with the next! Great for talking about the letter B and good to use for kids because it is challenging.

This was an absolute read every single night for my kids. They would not go to sleep until they heard this story. They thought it was the funniest things they've ever heard.
I can tell you now since it's been two years since we've read it my husband and I can still recite it word for word.
Have a

The main reason that I enjoyed this book was because that it stuck to the goal it was trying to achieve. Almost every word in the story began with the letter "B". The adjectives describing the characters even started with the letter "B". For example, "Big Brown Bear", "Beautiful Baboon"

I have actually never read this children's book before, nor have I ever even heard of it. The Berenstains' B Book is a great book to introduce young children to the alphabet, but more specifically the letter B. The big idea of this book is to show children all of the different words that begin with

B.
I liked the writing style used in this book. The author used large font throughout the entire book. Every word used in the book began with the letter B. On page 10, the text read "Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles biking backward.." This method repeated itself through the entire book, with the only word used that didn't start with the letter b was the word and. However, when the author did use the word and, he made sure to put it in bold font. I like this technique because I think it shows the reader why the word is different. It also helps the reader easily recognize that the word stands out and is different from all the rest. I also liked the ending which I feel was very unexpected. The story ended "and that's what...broke Baby Bird's balloon". Although the author used two other words that didn't begin with the letter B, he was able to wrap up all of the characters and actions into one final scene.
Another thing I liked about the book was its repetitiveness. On each page, a new character or action was introduced. However, each page would also restate the previous characters and actions. For example, page 3 read "Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon". Page 4 read " Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles..." Page 5 read " Big brown bear, blue bull, beautiful baboon blowing bubbles biking backward..." This process repeated throughout the entire story!
The illustrations for this book were quite incredible to be honest. As I mentioned before, a new character or action was introduced on each page. The reason I think the illustrations are so incredible is because on every page, the author illustrated EVERY character thus far. So on the last page, every character from the entire story was present. Also, the author used action words like "BOOM" or "BONK" in his illustrations to show movement and sound. The color used was very appealing to the eye, as well was the line work. Detail was used when necessary (such as in Billy Bunny's breadbasket) and was minimal when it wasn't so important (such as the bubbles; they were simply circles of different sizes).
Overall, I did enjoy reading this book. As I mentioned, it is a good read to introduce a child to the alphabet. The author used appealing and interesting techniques in his writing and illustrations that I guarantee would keep the attention of any child.
