Following a Replicant mutiny on an Off-world mining colony, Ash and Cleo became separated. Cleo fled with the renegade Replicants, while Ash, believed dead, was taken into custody by Hythe, a corporate Blade Runner, and forcibly recruited to track down her surrogate daughter. Following the renegades' trail, Hythe and Ash travelled to the way station of Ramanuja where they encountered the Replicant Isobel, whom Ash believed had died back on Earth when she and Cleo first escaped. The look of the comic mirrors the movie perfectly and the tone of the story hits all the marks. Ash is Blade Runner but she has a secret she keeps from her coworkers in order to keep her job. She is given a job she can’t refuse, to find the wife and daughter of a corporate executive. Of course,
Show More
it isn’t easy and there are facts missing but Ash keeps hunting even after she is pulled from the case. A good story and you are left wanting more by the end.

This book sis excellent primer what happens when people build on the existing fiction - when they do not try to retell the same story over and over again but create original characters and events.

Our main protagonist is anti-hero, Blade Runner Ash. We follow her as she hunts down the replicants and
Show More
takes them out in a very gruesome way (she has almost sadistic tendencies towards replicants). And then she gets offered the job to find wife and daughter of one of the corporate giants. What starts as the simple investigation soon becomes fight for life and death and it is not only Ash's life that will hang in balance.

Art is truly beautiful, everything from the interiors, exteriors and characters - pure joy for the eyes.

Highly recommended to all fans of cyberpunk and gritty noir SF stories.
