A terrorist attack in Times Square sets in motion a series of events that put Dylan Reinhart and Elizabeth Needham in the crosshairs of a sinister, ruthless terrorist determined to wreak havoc in the Big Apple.

Continuing the exploits of Dylan Reinhart and Elizabeth Needham, this is the second book

in the “Instinct” series. All the expected characters are here, there’s a strong sense of place, and the suspense builds with each turn of the page. Short chapters help to make this a quick but enjoyable read.

Several unexpected reveals keep the narrative moving in surprising directions as terrorists plot against New York City. It’s a timely, believable story, one that imparts a foreboding sense of dread in light of the September 11th terrorist attacks. There’s not much background for readers new to the series, but those who read “Instinct” will feel right at home as the realistically compelling story unfolds.

Highly recommended.

danger and it will take every skill they have to save her from this sociopath. Time is running out, if they fail the outcome will be devastating.

A fast paced psychological thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story is very believable, with heart pounding moments, unending suspense, chilling and intense. I was hooked from the first page up until the end. Overall I found Killer Instinct very enjoyable and feel others will as well. James Patterson hit this one out of the park, a must read.

Another quick thriller by James Patterson. In this one, Dr. Dylan Reinhart and Agent Elizabeth Needham team up again to thwart a terrorist plot to blow up a landmark in NYC.
Nothing spectacular, just a good story of good vs. evil.

"Killer Instinct" was a typical James Patterson read - fast paced, short chapters and an uncomplicated storyline - which provided a few hours of entertainment without straining the brain.

I enjoyed this thriller of spies and civilians. I bought this at a local library book sale and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given it a 4.5* and there is a lot action in this thriller of James Patterson and Howard Roughan. This story pulls you in on the first page and drags you

through it at its fast pace. There is a lot of violence in this and it never stops till the end. On to my next book.
