Salty was a very small dog when Zack got him. He wanted him to be a sailor on the ferry boat with him so he took him to work everyday and introduced him to all the boat workers. Salty didn't mind being on the boat. After weeks Salty grew as well as the boat. After the deck was built on the boat and

cabin, Salty was too big for a box. He started leaving the dog home alone outside and Salty didn't like that too much. Salty got out the yard and made his way to find Zack on the ferry. Everyday Salty would go and visit Zach after this. Soon enough Salty started following Zack all over including his own boat, stores, and his job. Zack named his boat after Salty and they traveled the world together.

Salty was a small puppy when Zack the owner of Salty took him on a boat. Salty gained the affection of the crew members. Zack put Salty in a box while he constructed a boat and Salty grew. Once Salty was too big for the box Zack left him home, but Salty missed Zack and Salty decided to find Zack.

Salty escaped home and found Zack, and Salty spent every day with Zack on the boat. The book shows readers the affection between a human and a dog, and it also shows how smart dogs are. The book also reflects the nature of the sea, and its seagulls.
