Zombies, this book has zombies. I like the fact that it's a comic/graphic novel. It continues the already great story of the first compendium that ended without any hope for the characters. As you read, you'll start to love or hate the characters and you'll feel remorse or joy when they die. The

writers of this series know how to make a great story about the characters they designed. 5/5 AH (10 grade) I chose this story because I love the Walking Dead. AG

So help me, I think I'm actually coming to like The Walking Dead. Not that I like Rick Grimes-- well, actually I don't mind Rick as a character, I just don't get why all the characters think he should be the "leader" because he is demonstrably, factually bad at it. C'mon, Rick, whine a little bit

more about how tough it is being the patriarch. I'm starting to realize this book is about Rick's, and even moreso Carl's, descent into complete and utter monstrousness. And I'm okay with that.

But when the survivors get into that D.C.-area gated community, the book suddenly becomes a very interesting examination of how you enforce societal rule. How do you make someone stop from beating his wife after the apocalypse? There's not always easy answers, though I feel like the book often pull back from that point, with people being killed off when it makes the writing a little more convenient and less problematic. But when it goes there, when Rick holds a gun to another man's head, it's gold.

If I was writing this, I'd end it with them settling down here, and if I was smart, I'd quit reading it now. But I'm neither, so I'll be there for Compendium Three in 2016.

Much like the television show being quite possibly the best show on television, this could quite possibly be the best comic running right now. Unbelievable.

Wow. I read the first Compendium the week it came out but I have just now gotten around to reading volume two and I have to say I really enjoyed it. If you had told me the outline of the plot in this volume I may've thought it sounded a little boring or far-fetched. However, the way it progresses
Show More
to where it ends has me yearning to read the next volume. I am going to trades from here on out.

This was so damn good. If you love the show you need to read the comics too. It just adds so much to the total experience. Different characters dying and living, hints about the future, things we not yet seen. It just gives and keeps giving. You have to read it.

This compendium ends about where the TV series is right now. So now- to get the next one and keep reading, or to wait until after the next season so nothing is ruined for me as I watch? What a dilemma!

I don't read other comics, so this is a unique experience for me. Zombies forever!

The second compendium of The Walking Dead was excellent. I knew what to expect, (mostly), from watching the show, but there were a few significant changes. Even though I don't think this volume was as quite as good as the first, it was still above average, and I do plan to continue on with the

series.

Now the ‘roamers’ gather into huge groups called ‘herds’! Gee whiz! The living in this volume seem to be much more dangerous than the dead! What's that say about human nature? And another group, The Saviors, seem to be the latest human gang to deal with at book's end! Still, and all, Rick
Show More
ends this volume positively, saying, "We can finally stop surviving, and start living." I hope so, for their sake!

Thanks to Carmel for giving me this volume! A great book friend to have! I'm a lucky reader! Thank you!
