Temptation arises when he makes a new herbivore friend, Merino sheep Seven, who is being harassed at work by her carnivore colleagues. Then we finally meet the current valian Beastar, horse Yahya, who shares a history with Legoshi's family. I read BEASTARS volumes 1 though 11 three years ago. When the first major story arc concluded, I set the series aside to wait until my local library had all the volumes through the conclusion with volume 22. Now it is time to dive back into this weird world of predator and prey.

transition point as the lead characters deal with the fallout of the big reveal of the murderer who devoured Tem, an alpaca, way back in Vol. 1. Legoshi, the lead wolf, is shaken by his actions and drops out of school when he realizes they have derailed the future he has been envisioning. Louis, the red deer, copes with his frosty father and a new disability. Family and friends chime in as the teenage boys try to find new ways forward while new characters are introduced who may effect how twisty those paths become.

Everything is a bit muddled right now, but I'm intrigued by the possibilities.
