I knew about this book about a year before I read it, but I refused to buy it until I was actually engaged. The weekend after our engagement camping trip, we stopped at a Barnes & Noble. I bought this book and a pile of bride magazines to search for dresses. The clerk complimented me on my ring --

"Full of fire!" he said, "And I should know, because I used to sell diamond rings." Isn't that a quaint little memory? My tale is so much more fairy-tale than Bekcy's -- she gets into the worst trouble! But as always, there is a lot of fantasy, and wish-fulfillment, stirred up with suspense and imminent humiliation. Every bride-to-be needs to read this for the laughs, and it certainly helped to put everything into perspective as we planned our real-life wedding.

Probably the worst book in the series so far. Honestly, why is Becky so stupid? She’s so annoying, honestly. Grow up. And she didn’t think of the solution earlier? Please. I had to force myself to get through this one. I did like her mother-in-law, though her name escapes me for the moment.

I loved this book! It's drama and characters keep the reader entertained throughout, and I got a kick out of Becky's final decision about where to hold her wedding- London or New York?

I love books about weddings, i love this series and i love Rebecca Bloomwood!! Or Rebecca nee Bloomwood as of this book!!

Again, like Shopaholic takes Manhattan, Shopaholic ties the knot is a bit repetitive and I could guess the ending of the book when I got to the middle of it. At some point in the book, I got the feeling of too much is too much, and get on with the story here.

Becky Bloomwood marries the man of her dreams, but not without lots of complications, of course. Fun book!

Read this awhile ago - it went fast, typical chick lit.

I like Becky most when she is actually proactive instead of just ignoring all the stuff she doesn't like around her. She's certainly warm-hearted - but why doesn't she say what she wants or needs a little more?? I can't say that I love this series, but there is something that makes me keep coming

back - maybe the hope that this time around Becky will be a little more of that smart & capable woman that every once in awhile she manages to pull off.

i just finish reading this book hours ago and i absolutely love it! Points for the character development, unexpected turnout and satisfying (extremely) ending. Ok, maybe i’m exaggerating, and i’m bias towards Kinsella, but hey, this is a good follow-up of shopaholic’s series. Points for
Show More
originality too, the plots, the storyline, it’s all just so gorgeous. And i love Suze and Ernie, i love Suze’s concern, Suze’s being a great friend, Luke’s charming, Luke’s breakdown, Luke’s vulnerability, Elinor’s botox, Elinor’s inner person, Michael’s helpfulness, Michael’s caring’ness’, Becky’s dumbness, Becky’s wittyness, Becky’s plan, Becky’s ending, and the ending, omg, i almost fall on tears because i’m too touched. however no, i did not cry.

yes yes i know i’ve been giving spoilers, just that if you’re following the shopaholic series, or, following kinsella even, don’t miss this book.

Shopaholic Ties the Knot… because u only do it once. Don’t you? (yeah right! LOL)

Points: 9 out of 10. (5 points for my likeness, and 4 for originality, plot, quality, character, bla bla bla) (well actually, minus 1 point because i took quite a time to finish this book. i should actually able to finish this book in 2 days! This book lack the ‘driving’ factor, especially the first half. But other than that, it’s satisfying!)

Just when I get utterly put out with the selfishness and self- involvement of main character, Shopaholic diva, Becky Bloomwood, Becky suddenly and unexpectedly makes an incredible move into maturity and redeems herself.

Not as interesting for me as the first two. This might be in part due to the big gap between readings, but I find that Becky's ability to get herself into stupid kinds of trouble isn't quite as believable to me now, nor as charming. In some ways the book was predictable, and in others it was
Show More
unexpected. I didn't really enjoy the read as much as the others, though.

The series starts to show its age by this third installment. But Becky Bloomwood remains a charming heroine. A light, fun, easy read.

Becky is back for another round of trouble. This book is more about her relationship with her mother and her future mother in law, I just love how Luke proposes!! I wish there was more interaction between Becky and Luke, but other than that-Kinsella still delivers a funny and witty heroine. This

book is third in the Shopaholic series.

It's chick lit, you cannot get away from it. In many ways it is pure and unaldultarated drivel, but that does not mean it cannot be an enjoyable read.
This series of books has a main character that makes me want to hit them, a girly girl if there ever was one. Her main characteristic as you would
Show More
imajen from the title is her ability to shop. This series of books takes you through the variety of life changing experiences she has, including her debt problem. But against all odds I like the main character, she is well written and has a full and rounded character, she may do things and hold opinions that I disagree with but I can see us having a chat and a drink should we meet in a shop.
In this episode she is getting married and she wants the best of everything for this day. I am not certain how she persuaded the man to marry her, either I have forgotten or have missed the specific book (after all I am not actually folowing the series, no matter how many of them I have actually read)but the author uses this character well, not only is he believable as a person but he is also used as a device to show the full character of the main.
in summary if you are wanting a bit of light reading and arenot agast at a bit of chick lit this is a book you should concider. Good to read in airports and hotels anywhere

Having read the first two books in this series, I was disappointed in this one. It was just ok. Still, I plan to read Shopaholic and Sister.

I must admit, I got a little bored around the middle of this book, but the ending tied it together nicely. It's very silly, but it's a fun book and Kinsella has started to work in some more emotional stuff. Very entertaining.

Another laugh-out-loud, hijinx-filled adventure with Becky, Suze and Luke. Quick, light reading, but still entertaining.

This book was an okay book , I thought it was kind of boring. It's about a girl named Becky , and she's worried she will never get married like her friend Suze. I got tired of this book very easily though .

I read this only because it was a part of the Shopaholic series. I really only enjoyed the first book of said series.

Abridged audiobook.

I have read (listened to) one other Sophie Kinsella book, but it was not from the Shopaholic series. This was the first time I had met Becky Bloomwood. She struck me as totally divorced from the realities of life and it is this that makes her both endearing and frustrating. Bills

for clothes do not become any smaller because you drop Tippex on them!

When Becky's boyfriend, Luke Brandon, proposes, Becky's mother is thrilled and immediately starts to make arrangements for her only daughter's wedding in their home in Oxshott, England. She brings out her own wedding dress, which fits Becky perfectly - but is the last thing Becky wants to wear as she walks down the aisle.
Meanwhile, Luke's Mum in America, decides to treat them to the perfect wedding in The Plaza Hotel, New York.
True to her pattern of 'head in the sand', Becky manages to not quite cancel either wedding and as the time approaches, the situation becomes more and more urgent.

I felt for her, but I could have slapped her too! Entertaining to listen to in the car.
I have a couple of other Shopaholic books on my shelves but there are many other books that are more urgently queueing for my attention.

I loved this one just as much as the previous two. These books are so incredibly entertaining to read and keep me wanting to get to the next page as soon as possible. As the title suggests, Becky is getting married in this one. Her parents are planning her wedding in England, while Luke's mother is

planning one in New York. It's so amusing to see all the ridiculous situations Becky gets herself into, and how she always tries to sort things herself. I loved this one from start to finish and look forward to reading the next one.

It was quite a stupid story with a stupid heroine. How can Becky Bloomwood be so stupid, naive, selfish and nobody sees that? And what infuriates me the most is how things work out for her in the end. How can anybody want to marry her. Kinsella shouldn't have continued this series. It is downright
Show More
silly and crazy. Stay away from this series. Unless you want to read about immature Becky.

Very light and silly and unrealisitc but the perfect book to read in an afternoon during fall break when you should be reading Victorian literature for school.

I would rate this 4 and a half if I could. Very funny.
LibraryThing member Cleoxcat
Unable to choose between two wonderful weddings, Becky does both! That's a black-belt shopper!
