自2015年開始，村民的生活出現了翻天覆地的轉變，由一開始以此為家，到得知被收村，再揭發一連串的黑幕，直至今天，橫洲還有不少疑團未解，當中所牽涉的種種太錯綜複雜，要將整個故事整理成一本記錄，實在不是易事。這本書能夠面世，當中經歷了不少的憂慮及挑戰，但有幸得到不同界別人士的支持，成就了這一步，用文字記錄真相，將橫洲最真實的故事讓公眾人士知道，在被欺壓的同時，仍然要保留這份發聲的權利，不讓弱勢的聲音永遠消失。
