Description

It's the opportunity of a lifetime when teenage reporter William Miller lands an assignment from Rolling Stone magazine. Despite the objections of his protective mother, William hits the road with an up-and-coming rock band and finds there's a lot more to write home about than the music.

Young aspiring writer meets rock and roll, warts and all. The acting is first rate, the music is more or less believable. Best bit is when everyone is feeling down and defeated on the bus and Tiny Dancer saves the day.

A teenage journalist goes on tour with a rock band.

2.5/4 (Okay).

It's not boring, despite being rambling and too long, probably because it has a charismatic cast. But I guess I just don't get what the point of it is.

2023 movie #123. 2000. Based on writer/director Cameron Crowe's actual experiences as a 16-yo reporter for Rolling Stone Magazine following an Allman Bros tour in the early '70s. Great movie with a ton of great music. I highly recommend.
