An entertaining well-written and well-plotted modern mystery. With its likeable and interesting characters. Another good addition to this enjoyable series which can easily be read as a standalone story.

Enjoyable, with a surprise tragedy, but don't expect meticulous policework here. There are a lot of assumptions and gaps in evidence that lead to conclusions that move the investigation forward. There's also a lot of leeway given to potential suspects that just doesn't ring true unless English cops

are a lot more trusting and have a lot less power than American ones. There are also too many threads that dangle for too long during the whole story - especially the Jack & Janet one, which is left dangling in the end.

Book 9 of the Jackman & Evans Series. Another great crime thriller in the series, this time involving a cult and evil killings. One thing different in this issue is the need for tissues - an unexpected turn of events still leaves me so sad for Jackman and his associates. Great find of a series-
