Ruby loves auto mechanics but her mother, a former beauty pageant contestant, wants her daughter to have when she never had--the Miss America title, even that that possibility is remote. A closeted bisexual, however, is not pageant winner material.

Catholic private school for homophobia, not allowing a lesbian to be on the track team.

Ruby and Morgan meet when Ruby almost runs her over in the school parking lot. While there is an instant attraction, Ruby won't admit it and Morgan won't get involved with someone who puts her back in the closet...or will she?

Very enjoyable. You'll like Ruby and Morgan and the ancillary characters.

Reading this made me realize what a very easy time I had growing up. Reading a good book is like getting a chance to live another persons life and this book gives you the chance to do that times two.
