I enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy - there was not too much emphasis on Christianity - it was more good vs. evil. By the end of the third book the religious element was front and centre and took away from the nice, subtle good vs evil of the first two installments. It was a considerable

disappointment that the first two books had accomplished so much without going down the blatant religious path. I stopped reading 20 pages from the end. The "power of God" was too much for me. I didn't realize it was this kind of fiction and didn't realize the sort of author Ted Dekker is. I've read some of his other books and enjoyed them but now will read them no more. I am Christian myself, but I don't care for Christian fiction.
