Description

"Every believer in Jesus Christ deserves the opportunity of personal nurture and development." says LeRoy Eims. But all too often the opportunity isn't there. We neglect the young Christian in our whirl of programs, church services, and fellowship groups. And we neglect to raise up workers and leaders who can disciple young believers into mature and fruitful Christians. Jesus Christ while he ws on earth received a call and them they were shown how to live their lives and how to bring other people to Christ. They did not all pass the first chance they had. It took some Jesus's whole ministry and then Christ had to show the holes iin his hands before they would believe him. Leroy Eims says "True growth takes time and tears and love and patience." Disciples are not born, they are nourished and loved and prayed on and prayed with to make them disciples. That was the work of Jesus Christ when he was here on earth. If we want to follow in Christ's footsteps, we must step out and give guidance to our peers and we must all grow to be like Christ before we can be a disciple. That is why we are here. You come too. Leroy Eims became a minister and worked for many years with the Discipleship Library and he wrote fourten books that teach discipleship.
