I liked the book; Let’s Go Trucks, because it is an informative book for children that is written in an interesting manor to keep a child’s interest. The story’s whole purpose is to inform the reader about different types of trucks and what they are used for. This could have been a very

uninteresting read but the author wrote with different writing techniques to keep in interesting. For example some pages had rhymes, like “All you puppies better hide. Find someplace to slip inside, or you’ll be taken for a ride.” The author also used alliteration, “Crafty criminals and crooks can’t crack into armored trucks.” These writing techniques add an interesting aspect to the writing to make it a more enjoyable read. The illustrations also went well with the story because there was an illustration for every truck mentioned in the story. The illustrations and writing combine to make an interesting book for children to read.
