User reviews

nice, but one might have to actually understand philosophy before being able to meaningfully navigate this book. probably wholly worthwhile as a companion to a beginning philosophy class or proseminar.

Not always easy to parse--these are philosophers not poets. But always thought-provoking and insightful.
LibraryThing member mykl-s
-keeps me grounded on -isms, arguments, counter-arguments, reasoning and its limitations
LibraryThing member Beholderess
Rather simplistic even for popular philosophy, although probably good for reference
