This is a workbook for people with hoarding problems to work though. I was hoping there would be more info *about* hoarding as a disorder, but there's really not a lot of background info in the book.

This has been the most helpful book I've ever read about compulsive hoarding -- I find it practical and educational and it has changed my life for the better!

Essentially an informational self-help book for a person who thinks they may be a hoarder. There are some tips and highlights for friends and family members who are in relationship with a hoarder.
The effort of the book is laudable, but unlikely to be sufficient for a person who is truly entrenched
The best thing it about the book for me is that it has given me some positive ways to look at the situation of an extended family member. Hoarding is truly a serious health and safety issue and it's hard not to have a strong negative reaction to the situation.
