Description
"This newly translated selection of 36 of the best decadent tales from the French fin-de-siecle brings together some the most exotic, stylized, and cerebral literature in the French language. This is a truly excellent collection and very well translated. I can't think of a better introduction to French decadent writing and to a group of authors you'll want to explore further. Here, "decadent" doesn't mean "disgusting"; more often it just means quirky, weird, and often quite humorous.
