I have fond memories of this book. It's in general just a collection of fairy tales, folk lore, and excerpt from popular children's stories. But the art is spectacular, and I think that above all else is what drew me into it when I was a girl-child.

same pattern continues as she tests out the bears' household items. I also liked the illustrations in this story, although they are small on some pages, they do not overpower the text, however they provide a further understanding of the story.
