Aww, Jen gets her own adventure finally! It was really good to get to check in with the Scouting Lads camp too and see how they're doing now that, uh, they're not being mind controlled to be evil. Also: I am hype to see more about whatever sinister plot is building in the backdrop of this series. I

love how each volume gives a fun adventure while also deepening my understanding of these characters and the relationships between them.

Lumberjanes Vol 4 (#13-16) All of my favorite elements are back in this volume which includes the exclamations of famous women in history. Out of Time featured: Maria V. Klenova, Nellie Bly, and Cecilia H. Payne. The girls continue to be fun, each in their own way and with their own strengths.

I enjoyed the flashback to the first day too, so the reader can get to know a bit of their individual family backgrounds. It brought a little more depth to their situations. The same was done for the camp and other connections that become apparent in this volume.

Probably the weakest edition in the Lumberjane series to date, but overall not horrible. As usual they fight weird supernatural creatures in the forest, stumble across shady figures, and work together to put what little survival skills they have to the test. They may not all be book smart but they

all love each other and can put their heads together in a time of crisis which is what they have to do when their camp counselor goes missing. Little do they know that she has been taken by an old scout and that things are not what they appear to be. A fun and light read.

Jen gets lost in a snowstorm (yes, in the middle of summer). While the Lumberjanes are searching for her, Jo feels threatened by a newcomer to their group - a BOY from the boys camp (and his super adorable kitten). Jen is rescued by a stranger who really understands her, and she learns more secrets

of the camp. Rosie comes to everyone's rescue, but the camp is in danger once more! The Lumberjanes head out to save the day, and as Mal says, "This terrifying decision seems pretty on brand for us."

This series has amazing pacing! Each volume has the perfect amount of stand-alone story and teasing bits of the secrets of the camp without giving away too much. And awesome monsters! This volume is a bit more Rosie- and Jen-centric, but I did like the addition of Bernard to the group.

After being disappointed in volumes two and three, I'm relieved that the latest installment is at least decent, if only barely. But I'm troubled that having finished this book, I'm staring at the cover featuring the six main characters right now, and I can only think of one of the character's names

and could tell you only superficial things about the personalities of three of the characters at best. Why am I reading this? It's not the art or storytelling. Am I just falling victim to the buzz?

This is the fourth book in the Lumberjanes series. My 11 year old son and I both continue to enjoy this series a lot. The characters and story are very fun and the illustration is bright and colorful and easy to follow.

In this volume an unnatural blizzard causes the girls to lose track of Jen. Jen

ends up at a strange woman’s cabin and finds out that this woman has ties both to Rosie and the Bearwoman.

These graphic novels are a lot of fun to read. There is always some action, adventure, survival, mystery, and friendship. This series has been consistently fun to read and I really enjoy it.

Overall another great installment in this series. I would recommend for middle grade and older readers who enjoy fantasy graphic novels. These are very fun reads and I plan on continuing with the series.

Loving this series! This time around our girls experience winter in the summer! What the!?!? Jen gets taken in by an old Lumberjane who is determined to kill every beast in the forest. Lots of adventure in this one plus the reappearance of the cute kitten from the boys camp! Squee!

Wonderful getting a story from Jen’s POV. The bear-woman plot line continued from vol 3 wasn’t its best moment, but it had a satisfying resolution with nutty Abigail in this volume.
