Bought the book because of the Volcano story.

While they have similar fundamental personality traits, they truly are their own characters. I feel like anyone who enjoys the Adventure Time series is sure to like the Cake and Fionna series as well. It offers a spinoff that is unique enough that you're not seeing a female character speak Finn's words--but her own words. It does this while remaining true to the original situations and offering familiar scenery, witty dialogue, and funny situations.

like the gender-swapped characters, and I think they offer a nice perspective against Finn and Jake.While they have similar fundamental personality traits, they truly are their own characters. I came across this volume in a thrift store, so picked it up. Its cute, nothing spectacular. I really liked the gender swapped characters, but I found the story difficult to follow. The illustrations are pretty, and very much in character with Adventure Time, the show, but it added to the confusion
