additional creator description & local notes

his guide provides in-depth information on the specific risk and safety factors relevant to groups of women who are disproportionately victimized and murdered.

It includes dedicated sections on risk identification and safety planning with Aboriginal women, those who are immigrants or refugees, older and younger women, sex workers, women with disabilities, lesbian, bisexual and queer women and trans people. An original aspect of this resource is that people who identify with each of the marginalized groups whose safety needs are addressed are its authors.

The Ending Violence Association of BC would like to acknowledge Department of Justice Canada, BC Ministry of Justice and the BC Government and Service Employees’ Union for financial support that made this resource possible.
