Tricked into a personal feud that permitted the criminal Chardu to steal the all-powerful STONE of GAZDA, Cadets Tommy Tomorrow and Lon Vurian vow to capture him and clear their names. But when the Academy ships return for the students, their unit sergeant has other plans for the two cadets who "helped" Chardu become The CRIMINAL WHO COULDN'T DIE.
