This is short story of The Statue of Liberty. It tells how it made, who made, and how they got it to America. It tells how people from all over the world came to America in order for freedom. It tells how the statue is a symbol of freedom.

I read this the second grade class of the school I work in.

It was a new experience for me, considering I usually deal with 4-5 year old children. They had lots of questions about where the people came from, and one little boy asked who drove the boat. It was a fun experience.

An extension could be to make a puppet of The Statue of Liberty.
