This book is great! You can read the blurbs and find out that it is about an FBI guy who ends up calling in his Sicilian family to help deal with some Kurdish terrorists. That's all very exciting but what I loved about it is that the FBI guy isn't all alpha he-man and his wife doesn't just roll up

and cry when she is confronted by a terrorist. There are lots of bits and pieces to the characters that make them more real and more interesting. I highly recommend this book.

A Touch of Deceit is a fast-paced thriller that doesn't leave the reader a lot of time to breathe. If you want a story that will keep you on edge, this one is for you.

While I enjoyed the writing style, at times I found the relentless pace and constant conflict too much and had to put the book down.

The characters in this one did not have much of a thread of happiness to tug on here. The subject matter is dark and, for me, could have used a reprieve now and then.

I would have liked a bit more development of Nick's character and I felt that the two female characters were a little too cliche. The writing is strong and made me want more. Overall, this is a great read that will keep your heart thumping.

Sometimes the action was just too... much... the bad guy(s) were nearly unlimited. One gets killed, no worries, another swappable bad guy filled in for the next scene. We know the main character was not going to be defeated because he had so many minions ready to take a bullet on his behalf.

Someone had to die in each scene, but fortunately it was not Nick, nor the main bad guy (until the final battle that is).

That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the story, I did... it was just on the Bourne side of the ability scale and, after awhile, after the 5th or 6th conflict, it just got tiring to read another scene where the same stuff happened. There was no downtime between each event...

I love everything about this book! A frightening plot to bring The United States to it's knees, and the people who refuse to allow it to happen. Some fun little plot twists, that actually make a lot sense and make you go hmmm maybe we need to go there. Intriguing story that is impossible to put
