I've never read much of the traditional DC material, but this certainly wants me to read more. A good story with great character development and building an interesting foundation for the future. Guess I might be trying to track down more...

A fun retelling/reimagining/retconning of the Hal Jordan Green Lantern story.

While fun to read as a standalone for people new to the franchise, for people familiar with its long history might get the sense that this is more of an attempt to paper over the cracks and 'foreshadow' events in the

'future' as a means to justify certain retconned events.

But overall, as a standalone graphic novel, it certainly is drawn and written well.

Great retelling of Green Lantern's origin story. Nice art by Ivan Reis, and once again Geoff Johns comes through as one of the best writers DC has working these days.

This was a really well though out introduction to Hal Jordan. As a novice to Green Lantern, this storyline helped me get into the meat of what exactly is going on.

Read a number of these graphic novels dealing with the Green Lantern all at once. It turns out, I am extremely ambivalent towards the Green Lantern. The stories about the Green Lantern just feel like a bits and pieces of other super hero stories combined with some attempt to make emotion the center

of everything. Didn't hate it, just didn't love.

Artwork pretty good, just the stories not very memorable or interesting.

A great introduction to a character I previously had no interest in. Johns won me over on Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps.
