Honestly, I've just run out of steam on the Mesklin stories. I enjoyed Mission of Gravity for what it was. However, the dry, rather unexciting tone and the total focus on showing off science just got too dry for me. These books are long and I ended up skimming the last quarter of this one.

I have read a few Clement books and still intend to read "Mission of Gravity".

This book was just to dull. Sometimes I realize a book would have been just right when I was a teen. This one have failed, for me, even then.
