About
It’s the fur trade era in Canada. A time of rugged men in a rugged business.
Sicheii McGillivray – the “Métis Boy” – is one of them, but he didn’t start life that way. Born (illegitimately) into a rich and powerful family dynasty, he is raised by his biological father after his Nêhiyawak mother dies, and his beloved grandfather, Stone Maker, grand chief of the Nêhiyawak, gives him up so he can attend the white man’s school.
It isn’t until he graduates and is destined to be a clerk at his uncle’s trading post on Lake Superior that he meets Henri-Paul de Jardin, a voyageur and company guide, that Sicheii discovers his true heart and destiny. Come along for the ride.
