Jongin, the Crown Prince of Joseon, has lived his entire life in royal isolation – until, one day, he meets a servant boy in the Palace. The two boys become friends and, eventually, lovers. But their friendship ends abruptly, when one night there is an uprising in the Palace, and the servant boy goes missing.
