I received this book from Amazon kindle through Goodreads Giveaway, thank you. The story was not what I was expecting, regardless, it was heartbreaking in so many ways. I did feel like I was reading two stories but eventually it did link the two together. This is not a book I would normally have

picked up if I knew the story line but the historical fiction aspect was an interesting twist. It was well written, kept your interest which is why I rated a 4.
