Fun - a new (to me) Fighting Pumpkins story. Which mostly made me realize that I've missed a _lot_ of Fighting Pumpkins stories - the POV character skims over some recent events that I was completely unaware of. Got some story hunting to do! It's, as usual, an interesting take on urban fantasy -

it's a perfectly reasonable route for Wendigos to take (assuming they can think). And the more I think about it, the more sense it makes, unlike a lot of things I've read recently. The ones that will eat are recruited, the ones that won't are still useful...and I bet they were delighted to get a bunch of cheerleaders. But the Fighting Pumpkins are not your average batch of cheerleaders (not that your average batch would be pushovers either...). Show Less

The Fighting Pumpkins cheerleaders just make me happy. Their stories take the usual final girl/damsel in distress tropes and completely throw them away. Plus, they're just plain fun. I want more and more and more of these.
