Description
The Coalition has not given up on the jewel that is Trios, and this time they are determined not to conquer, but destroy. A new generation will be tested. Lyon--the son of a legendary Trios king. Nice story. It's less of a romance, despite two separate HEAs, and more of an SF action/adventure story. There are several protagonists - three major POV characters and several minor ones. The two main protagonists are Dare and Shaylah's son, and Dax and Califa's daughter - they are, of course, one

of the HEAs, once they quit fighting the notion (or she does). The other, and the third POV character, is Rina - we finally get an explanation of her sadness about the man who "went into the mountains" and never came back out. He did, of course, though not untouched, and they get an HEA as well, once _he_ quits fighting it. Sheesh! But the romance threads are relatively minor - the major plot thread is a new assault by the Coalition, attempting to retake Arellia and (all assume) use it as a base to destroy Trios once and for all. There's a story that wasn't (as far as I know) written, when Arellia threw the Coalition off the planet after the Trios rebellion succeeded - that's when Tark went into the mountains. And now they get to do it again, with, again, Trios' help. There are some odd mystical bits - apparently Arellia has its myths and magic, as much as Trios does. Good story, and great to see all these characters again. Show Less
