So she isn't too surprised when the town's most talented needleworkers volunteer to restore a damaged tapestry that was found in the basement of a local church. Betsy even offers to donate materials for the project, thinking that the free publicity will boost sales at her financially troubled needlecraft shop. Although I really enjoyed reading about the characters again, and still look forward to reading more of this series I do know now why I had such a hard time finding this book in the libraries. To someone who is very religious they might find this book offensive.. and even though I am not the

extreme religious type I do have respect for those that are and was also a little thrown off by the outcome of this story. I will not say what it was and spoil it for anyone choosing to read it...only that if you are religious maybe you should avoid this book in the series.

I have to say that I'd thought the knitting part of the knitting mysteries was the most important factor, and I wouldn't have expected to be following the exploits of a 50-something needlecraft shop owner with more interest than a late-20s accountant novice knitter, but I'm liking these far more

than I'm liking the Sefton books. This one is about a tapestry and the clues within, and the protagonist of the book (Betsy) is actually a potential victim this time around! Looking forward to the next one.

Here we go -- Betsy Devonshire is at again - she has an uncanny - whoops make that unrealistic ability to catch murderers - so why do I keep buying and reading this series -- damned if I know!

Third in the series, A Stitch in Time finds Betsy as the target of multiple murder attempts. When the local police detective asks her whose business she's been butting into again, Betsy is clueless.

Synopsis: Betsy Devonshire has inherited a needlework shop from her sister and in the process solved several murders. In this case, a tapestry is found when the church is being renovated and since Betsy has become interested in the project, she has become the focus of a murderer.
Review: This is a

nice little cozy mystery with the required best friend, cheating ex-husband, and less than competent law enforcement. The setting is a small town in Minnesota which lends the climate to the twists and turns of the plot.

Another good, solid book in the series. There isn't as much of a murder mystery aspect to this book, but there is an older mystery to solve. The person who turns out to be the bad guy, although I saw it coming, made me sad. I don't want everyone in this little town to have murder in their hearts.

Can't wait for book 4 in the series.
