Erotic Literature. Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. HTML: A curse can erase her from his mind, but never from his heart. ...and the Beast, Book 1 After three years at war, the High Lord of the Forest returns to his lands, a victorious wolf leader intent on claiming his mate. Sabine's first instinct is to beg her beloved to leave. The High Lord's mother hired a witch to curse Sabine, desperate to wipe the lowborn wolf from her son's mind. But the spell worked too well, and Sabine has vanished from the thoughts of everyone who sees her. Including her own family. The edges of his memory already blurring, Ciar and Sabine must race to find a way to reverse the spell. Yet every searing moment together is not enough to stop the curse's inexorable progress. His only chance is to bind Sabine to him too tightly to be forgotten, before she disappears once and for all. Warning: This story contains cruel betrayal, destined love, vile curses, smoldering reunions, wicked deeds between wanton shapeshifters and a happily-ever-after worthy of any fairy tale..… (more)

I really really enjoyed this novella from Moira Rogers. I love fantasy romance and the setting and the romance played out really well especially the love story between Sabine and Ciar.
When Ciar returns from war to find Sabine gone from his home, he immediately searches her
I loved the connection between Ciar and Sabine. Ciar loved Sabine just as much as she loved him. I wish there had been more on the final resolution. Especially more about Ciar's mother, and her part in what happened to Sabine. I also want to read more about Ciar's 2nd and his new wife. I'm hoping there will be another entry in the series featuring them.
And that's a good thing. A very good thing, in fact, because it shows just how engaged I was with these characters. This is a quick read, but I was hooked from the moment I met Sabine. She's got so much
But wait, there's more. The setting's good, and I wanted to know more about the kingdom and the politics and the scheming nobility. It left me hungry, in a good way. It's a fantasy setting, and there were bits that reminded me of running through a role playing game, because I could see that there was more plot going on but dang it, nobody was offering a quest for it! Maybe in the expansion...
And the love scenes, oh my. :-o Is it warm in here? Yes, yes it is.
Oh, and I'll admit that at first glance, just from seeing the cover and title, I had doubts, because the Beauty and the Beast thing has been done to death, right? Wrong. This was different, some might even say fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised. So, in conclusion: excellent angst, hot love scenes, interesting politics, why are you still reading this and not buying it right now?
