The title of this book delivers. It has everything from magic, to romance, to comedy, and the body count. The best part is the comedy. I laughed and kept laughing. There were so many funny moments. Although, my favorite was when Bailey was in hospital (the first time). She was doped up on pain

medications and thought she was having hallucinations. The conversation she was having with her hallucinations was hilarious. I have to agree with Bailey that it is a crime that Quinn wears clothing.

Yet, it was not until about the half way mark before I truly had a clue just what the gorgons really were all about. From there the second half of this book was all about the magic and kicking some butt. Plus, more of Bailey pushing Quinn's buttons. Speaking of Quinn, he has the patience of a saint to deal with Bailey. The way he growls Bailey's last name is sexy. This book is pure magic! Author, R.J. Blain serves up the laughter with a side of colorful, entertaining characters, a great storyline and wraps it all up in Playing with Fire!

Fun, I like Bailey and Sam. She's got serious self-esteem problems, and he doesn't have enough - but between them, they make an excellent couple. It's very obvious much earlier than the actual reveal - intentionally, I'm sure. The bloodlines are...well, silly. And the family is crazy, as usual for

Blain. Very enjoyable and I'm delighted there's two more books about them.

Thuis is a great book that starts one of my favorite series. This one is the first about Bailey and Quin. I can identify with Bailey with most of the things, I just can’t transform into a fire breathing unicorn, aka cindercorn. If you need a fun read with a possibility to read on, this is your

book.
