aroused...dull. Fated Mates is usually boring, as it was here - there are brief glimpses of actual story, where they get to know each other or encounter interesting aspects of the town (are they _all_ shifters there? Or only mostly - and do the humans there know about the shifters? How does this work with the larger society - does the FBI know their detective is a lion shifter? More (many more) questions than answers). I enjoyed those brief glimpses - "you're being bossy", the nip scene, Griff's thoughts about the lion queens of his pride - but they mostly didn't get followed up, turning instead into another sex scene. Pity. I might look at another book by her, but given the descriptions of the other series she writes in the back of this book, this _is_ her being non-erotic. So - not bad, but not for me.
