happened there. On board the Sunderland flying-boat are not also Algy, Ginger and Bertie but also Marcel Brissac and Sven Heldersen of the Swedish police. On the track of missing would-be colonists and a mysterious brutal pack of dogs they land on the volcanic island. There is an epic account of the expedition to the crater at the top and of the remarkable “King” Hara that they find there. The conclusion takes place amongst a dramatic earthquake and after a breath-taking downhill chase as they are pursued by the savage canines.
