Description

Really good. The first story is mostly from the point of view of Icicle (fils) - just why is this guy a supervillain? Aside from following in the footsteps of his father, of course. Interesting story, well-presented. The heroes are Wildcat, Stargirl, the new Thunderbolt (Jakeem), and to some extent

Ma Hunkel. But 90% of the story is about the villains - how they get together (again) and why (for many layers of why), their plans and execution of said plans, and the results. The heroes are mostly shown reacting to the villains. Want to see more - and more of Icicle in general (and Tigress - but I think she'd more or less go along with what he wanted to do, if he presented it correctly). Second story is Wildcat and Flash, dealing with a resurgence of the Spear of Destiny in Dragon's hands (don't know him, I don't think). Very nicely handled, and makes me want to read some backstory (what's this Nine Lives thing?). It's very strongly about comradeship and what's owed to yourself and your partners. I'm sorry about Steven - wish we could have seen more of him. But there's all the other young metas, too. Good story. I like the JSA better than the JLA, anyway, but this kind of encapsulates why.
