not where kid gloves. He thinks harry should do what he says because Harry is a low common boy. They have quite a bunch of scuffles. Philip and a friend of his try to leave Harry tied up in the woods all night, but another boy happens along and frees him. It is just then that he witnesses the crime that makes his fortune. Some bad men have buried a tin box in the woods whilst talking about stealing it. Harry claims the reward when he leads the police to the box and the thieves. Philip, meanwhile, falls into bad company, racks up gambling debts and ends up robbing his father to pay them off and casting suspicion on Harry. No wrongful charges can stick to our hero though, The power of his honesty shines through in his every action. It's a wonder he isn't British. Brave and bold, luck and pluck as usual.
